Blessing of a Ministry and of Ministers
Water the Vineyard with Scripture Prayer
These are some
Scriptures I gathered for pondering in prayer in
preparation for writing a prayer to bless a ministry and
the minister. I’ve lost the prayer, but the Scripture
file is still here. I've looked it over and still find it a
valuable resource. Hopefully this will jumpstart you into
collecting Scriptures for blessing.
If you have a ministry of your own, pray these Scriptures
over the work God has called you to. Write up your own
prayer and share it with others who will help you water
your vineyard with the water of the Word.
If you are not certain about how to start praying
Scripture, read

Scriptures
Deut 28
Now it shall
come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord
you God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I
command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high
above all nations of the earth.
And all these blessing shall come upon you and overtake
you, because you obey the voice of the Lord you God:
Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be
in the country.
Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of you
ground and the increase of you herds, the increase of you
cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
Blessed shall be you basket and your kneading bowl.
Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you
be when you go out.
The Lord will cause you enemies who rise against you to be
defeated before you face; they shall come out against you
one way and flee before you seven ways.
The Lord will command the blessing on you in you
storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He
will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is
giving you.
The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself,
just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments
of the Lord you God and walk in His ways.
Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called
by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit
of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the
produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore
to your fathers to give you.
The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens,
to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless
all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations,
but you shall not borrow.
And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail. You
shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the
commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you
today, and are careful to observe them.
Gen
39:5
So it was, from
the time that he had make him overseer of his house and all
that he ha, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s
house for Joseph’s sake, and the blessing of the Lord
was on all that he had in the house and in the field.
Gen
22: 17,18
(spoken to
Abraham as the angel stays his hand in sacrificing Isaac)
blessing, I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply
your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand
which is on the seashore; and you descendants shall possess
the gate of their enemies. In you seed all nations of the
earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.
Ps
121
I will lift up
my eyes to the hills. From whence comes my help: My help
comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow you foot to b moved; He who keeps you
will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither
slumber not sleep.
The Lord is you keeper. The Lord is your shade at your
right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the
mood by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil (We will go
through adversity but come out a winner.); He shall
preserver your soul. The Lord shall preserve you going out
and your coming in from this time forth, and even
forevermore.
Is
25:4
For You have
been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his
distress, a refuge from the storm a shade from the heat.
Ps
16: 5,6
O Lord, You are
the portion of my inheritance and my cup. You maintain my
lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Yes, I
have a good inheritance.
Is 58:6-12
Is this not the
fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness,
to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free.
And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your
bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the
poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you
cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your
healing shall spring forth speedily, and you righteousness
shall go before you. The glory of the Lord shall be your
rear guard. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer.
You shall cry, and He will say, “Here I am.”
If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of
the finger, and speaking wickedness, if you extend your
soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then
your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness
shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your soul
in drought, and strengthen you bones. You shall be like a
watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do
not fail.
Those from among you shall build the old waste places. You
shall raise up the foundations of many generations. You
shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of
streets to dwell in.
Is
60:17-22
Instead of
bronze I will bring gold. Instead of iron I will bring
silver. Instead of wood, bronze, and instead of stones,
iron.
I will also make your officers peace, and your magistrates
righteousness. Violence shall no longer be heard in your
land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders.
But you shall call your walls Salvation and your gates
Praise.
The sun shall no longer be you light by day nor for
brightness shall the moon give you light. But the Lord will
be to you an everlasting light and your God your glory.
Your sun shall no longer go down, nor shall your moon
withdraw itself, for the Lord will be your everlasting
light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended.
Also your people shall all be righteous. They shall inherit
the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of My
hands, that I may be glorified. A little one shall become a
thousand, and a small one a strong nation.
Is
61:6-7
But you shall
be named the priest of the Lord. They shall call you the
servants of our God. You shall eat the riches of the
Gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead of
your shame you shall have double honor. And instead of
confusion, you shall rejoice in your portion. Therefore in
our land you shall possess double. Everlasting joy shall be
theirs.
Is

The voice of
one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord.
Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every
valley shall be exalted and every mountain and hill brought
low. The crooked places shall be made straight and the
rough places smooth. The glory of the Lord shall be
revealed. And all flesh shall see it together, for the
mouth of the Lord has spoken.
Is
40:29-31
He gives power
to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases

wings like eagle, they shall run and not be weary, they
shall walk and not faint.
Is

But now, thus
says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob. And He who formed
you, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed you. I have
called you by your name. You are Mine.
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you and
through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you
walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall
the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy
One of Israel, your Savior.
Is

on your offspring. They will spring up among the grass like
willows by the watercourses.

Rain down, you
heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down
righteousness. Let the earth open, let them bring forth
salvation and let righteousness spring up together. I, the
Lord, have created it.
Jer
29:11-14
For I know the
thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts
of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I
will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when
you search for Me with all your heart.
I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you
back from your captivity. I will gather you from all the
nations and from all the places where I have driven you,
says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which
I cause you to be carried away captive.
Eph

But God, who is
rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He
loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us
alive together with Christ (by grace we have been saved)
and raised up together, and made us sit together in the
heavenly placed in Christ Jesus, that in ages to come He
might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His
kindness toward us Christ Jesus.

the armor of light…put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and

in Christ he becomes a new person altogether. The past is
finished and gone, everything is fresh and new.
Ro 6:5-6
For is we have
become united with Him in the likeness of His death,

chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His
own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of
Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous
light.
Jn 15:9-17
As the Father
loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love. If you
keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I
have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His
love.
These thing I have spoken to you that My joy may remain in
you and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment,
that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love
has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for
his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I
command you.
No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not
know what his master is doing. But I have called you
friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have
made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you
and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and
that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the
Father in My name He may give you.
