Prayer Proclamations:
Some Suggested Scriptures
Not every line of Scripture translates into prayer,
especially not into prayer affirmations. So let me give you
a few Scriptures in case you need a jump-start.
This is NOT a comprehensive list, But, it is a handy tool
to have. Print off this page to keep close to your Bible or
journal…or both.
Look up these Scriptures. Write out those that cry for your
attention. While you are there, check out the passage in
which the Scripture occurs. You could hit the motherlode!
Add to this list as you find Scriptures pulsating with
life. At some point, I recommend that you organize your
Scriptures by theme or category. Such organization makes a
particular Scripture easier to locate once your list
becomes bulky.
Psalms
Psalm
23 and
Psalm 91 – the
whole psalm…maybe that’s why these two are so
popular!...just change the pronouns and verb tenses
Psalm51,
119, and 139 –
don’t even need the pronouns and verbs changed
You may not want to pray the whole Psalm. Not problem! Pray
the parts that most resonate with your spirit.
Almost every Psalm has a line that can be prayed. The Book
of Psalms is a goldmine to be worked. If you really enjoy
praying Psalms, visit my blog: Praying
Through Psalms.

The
Names of God
Access a collection of the Names of God
by which He
reveals Himself to us in Scripture. A Scripture
reference goes with each name to make further study a
breeze! This is not an easy resource to find. It comes
as a blessing from Paul Cox of Aslan's Place.
Remember to keep your Scriptures in a safe place: a journal
or computer file.
If you need some suggestions on how to study your
Scriptures a bit more deeply, read Study
Helps.
